Summary of Professional Experiences:
Amy has been teaching Early Childhood Special Education for 20 years in the Twin Cities. Amy began her career in the Anoka-Hennepin School District where she taught in the birth to 3 program as well as inclusive preschool setting for 7 years. She then transitioned to Mounds View Public Schools where she taught for 8 years. While in Mounds View Public Schools, Amy taught in a team taught model until she began completing initial evaluations for the district. After many years teaching in the traditional school district setting, Amy was seeking a change and a new adventure and has been working for TCEC for the past five years as a Developmental Delay Consultant.

Personal Information:
Amy was born and raised in central Wisconsin. After attending college in Eau Claire, WI, Amy moved to the metro area. She now lives in Shoreview with her husband and two daughters ages 10 and 13. Amy enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time, you can typically find Amy working on home improvements or driving her children to various activities.

Amy is able to provide a range of early childhood special education services. She is very knowledgeable in early childhood screening, early childhood evaluations and due process procedures. She is also able to provide consultation and direct service support for young children with disabilities, including behavior supports and classroom management.
